      68 Camaro quarter panel brace

In our haste to get the mess cleaned up on our last camaro disassembly, we seem to have thrown away the innner brace between the outter quarter and inner sheetmetal. I still have the passinger side, but it complex enough i would rather not attemp to build one. Does antone know if this is available in repop or a good salvage yard that may be able to supply me one. This peice spot welds to the outter quarter and inner structure as well as provides the threads for the strike plate in the door jam area.

      One of the only.....

There are just a few places that might have something like that if you are lucky and a few that might try to find one for you but you might try getting a new one.

D&R classic automotive might be able to get you a used one, or maybe Rick's. But your best bet might just be getting ahold of the guys making the new 69 camaro repop cars and see if you can get one from them. It might be the same for 69's as well as 67-8 cars I am not sure if they had to make them different to work but it might be close enough to do the job with some mods or it might work without the mods and just not fill the whole area you need it to but it would be tough to see if it was a bit smaller.

Those are the choices I would try first. There might be a few other places that might have a used one but I would have to think a bit harder on that one.

      Looking for braces

      Daryn,
Try either of these places. I have had good luck with both. they are a little pricey at DVAP but I have had really good experiences with both and have always got more metal than what I had asked for.

I once bought an entire lower firewall for my Firebird from DVAP. This was before they were reproduced. I ended up buying a Firewall anyway but there was enough metal for me to patch the areas under the a-pillars to make it a worth while purchase.

      Good Luck!
