      Unique Performance Cuda

I drive by Uniques body shop everyday on the way to work so I get see the future Elanors and Foose Camaros sitting outside waiting their turn. Today I saw a 69 camaro shell being trailered off some where and when I look in the lot they are rolling a cuda mounted to a rack back in the shop. I wonder if this will be a Foose sig car like the Camaro? Theres also another Cuda thats been sitting in the lot for some time. I will take some spy pics...

Foose said at the Camaro debut in Columbus that there would be many more cars to follow and specifically said Cudas and GM A-bodies so it looks like the plan is underway!

In a few years time, impossible will be defined in trying to find a project car (60-70s era muscle)...

Or, trying to find one for anywhere south of $10k.

Why did Foose add 6 inches of metal to the bottom of the camaro, it looks a little

goofy. Sorry Chip I still love ya.

Maybe going out now and buying up all the junk to resell later would be a good investment?

I have been thinking of doing the same thing lately. I would like to pick up a couple of Nova's and store them in my barns.

Makes sense that they would do 'Cudas next.. even before Unique came along '70's 'Cudas were super high priced, even worse than '69 Camaros..

4-5 years ago every 45 year old recently divorced mid-life crisis dork in CA dropped $75k on a custom Simms, Dronn, Ness, James chopper. Now with the big exposure that Foose, Troy etc are getting they are looking at muscle cars. I don't see this lasting long. How broad is the market for a $100,000 Camaro? Let alone a car like the Motion.

Give it another few years and things will go full circle and they will be back to buying Fountain Boats, Porsche's or somethine else.

I think it would definitely be a good investment, just look at all the people stock piling sheetmetal, or hoarding the swap meets and making a quick buck reselling on ebay. The problem is, alot of people, myself included, simply don't have the disposable income, or even more importantly, the space to do so. I'd hate to think that if I want to build another car in 5 years, I'll be dropping $15K for a solid, mostly rust free car--where as 3 years ago I bought my '68 for less than a third of that.

The only problem with that is, emissions are only getting stricter. It's really difficult to build anything over '75, in California, New York, Texas, etc. Don't think that because your state doesn't have emissions testing now, they won't in 5 or 10 years. As pollution gets worse, the government will continue to look for band-aids to the problem, and do what makes them look good -- enforce stricter smog on cars. (Rather than attacking the heart of the problem, like the trucking industry and pollution from third world countries, but that's an entirely different topic for debate).

Actually, they are improving the value of our cars. My '69 ragtop is gaining more in value just sitting in storage than most of my stock market shares, haha.

Same here, but I shudder to think about the day when only those with truck loads of disposible income can afford any musclecar. These days are not far off if the desire for these cars continues at the pace its been. Many of my friends, big time muscle car guys, have been forced to build 79 and 80 malibu's because an affordable shell is out of their reach. NOTHING AGAINST 80 MALIBU OWNERS at all, I really like them, just that they wanted to build a 60 or 70's ride.

Its one thing to see a ZL1 COPO 69 go for six figures on Barrett Jackson, its completely another to see a stripped, nothing special camaro-in-a-box on eBay go for 15k

supply vs demand. You can still find 1st gen Mustangs dirt cheap, since they built so many of them. 67-68 Camaros are also cheap compared to 69s. Plenty of Malibus, Cutlass, Novas, etc... out there too.

1st gen Mustangs CHEAP BS......... ONLY if its a so so Coupe Fastbacks are freaking out of sight. I have seen JUNK (I would not go drag it off) sell on Ebay for $$$$$$$$$$. They are not going to get any cheaper................
I have been hording 33/34 Ford sheet metal for a little while now and that stuff is going UP all the time I can barely afford it and my Mustang to. The car hobby is not a hobby any more its big business.

Every time I pick up the classic car trader it makes me glad I already own a '69 Camaro SS. Makes an import project more attractive, a RWD 200sx or 240sx. Turning to the darkside.

It's not fair to qualify it like that (regarding the fastbacks).. the FACT is that you can still get mustang coupes for cheap.. I can buy decent running coupes all day For less than $3k.. Fastbacks are expensive cause not many were made in relation to coupes..

I would be like saying "you can still get 1st gen Camaros cheap" and someone replys.. "well maybe plain janes but those RS/SS prices are out of sight!!"

      See what I mean?

Unique buys total basket cases for as cheap as they can get them..
