      4L60E mechanical speedo conversion

For sale: Used mechanical speedo conversion for 4L60/65/70E transmissions. Used on 98 and up transmissions to allow you to run a mechanical speedometer. At least on GM muscle cars, your original cable will screw right on to tail housing. I was using it on a 68 Camaro with LS3 to run the stock gauges. I converted to all electric gauges, so no longer need this. Uses plastic speedo gears from a 200 4R, so the gears are readily available. Comes with the one I had for 3.39 rear gears. Some removal marks from when I took it off, but it will not affect sealing to the transmission. Comes with tail housing, adapter, speed sensor and wires, mech assembly, output shaft sleeve, seal, and hardware.
      $600 new: Part # SW42-A: http://www.shiftworks.com/tailhousing.htm

      $450 shipped CONUS. Paypal.

Does the driveshaft need to be shortened to run this setup? Thanks

Mayo, no, the same driveshaft can be used for this and for a regular 4l60/65/70e. The output shaft stays the same.
