      New guy saying hi.

Hello. Really enjoyed this forum the last year or so. Finally signed up. I've spent most of my time reading about builds and checking the for sale section. Some amazing cars here for sure.

I currently drive a Toyota Tundra. Will be paid off in two years. Had a first gen CTS-V back in my single days. I'm going to get another fun car when the truck is paid off. Nothing major. No track days or racing. Just want something for the weekends and short road trips. Gen 6 camaro ss 1LE, or C7 stingray. But I know the value and cool factor will plummet when the next gens come out. That's were you all come in. I know a gen one camaro will always be cool. And a PT moded done well would be fun to drive as well. I'd love to build my own. But limited time, 2 year old son, work, and lack of knowledge would turn it into a huge money pit.

So, buy a completely built pt car. Or have one built? Any advice would be great. Thanks for taking the time

      Welcome!

Lack of knowledge and time will make for a long term project.
I'm not in the business to tell you to buy an already done PT vehicle, but it will be cheaper to do so, generally.
With a custom build though, it's your car and it'll be done the way YOU like it in every aspect, rather than trying to find a car that's done. Depends on how picky you are, too

After posting this. Loaded up the family and headed out of town for a fun day at the pumpkin patch and apple orchard. Few hours later. On the way out of the half empty parking lot. There was a 69 camaro Z/28 sitting all alone in the grass. May as well been a rainbow, neon sign, billboard saying you need this.

Any other websites to look at cars for sale. Besides here, eBay, and street side classic cars? Thanks.

I like searchtempest.com to search craigslist nation wide.

For some reason thriftynickel.com still exists lol. There's good stuff on there at times.
