      1965 Mustang Coupe Done

Here is my 1965 Mustang restomod. It was a 6 cylinder 3 speed car in factory black with bright red interior. I took the car down to the body and welded in torque boxes and fixed the driver's floor. The suspension is Street or Track coilover conversion in front with TCI rear mideye leaf springs and Bilstein shocks. The brakes are 13 inch Wilwood style in front and 11 inch Cobra in back. The rear end is a Strange Engineering 9 inch Ford with 4:11 gears/positrac and 31 spline axles. The transmission is an American Powertrain TKO600 5 speed with their Science Friction Super Street hydraulic clutch. The engine is a Ford Racing 306ci crate engine with 340hp, MSD ignition, MSD Atomic EFI, and a 4 core Fluidyne aluminum radiator. The exhaust is a Magnaflow 2.5 inch stainless steel system that was heavily modified to fit. I also added the TCP body brace kit. The car was repainted with Sikkens Glasurit paint. The car is quick and fun to drive (although it is a little loud) and finally has the bugs worked out.

That is a very sharp little notchback!
Cars are meant to be driven.
