What else do I need.... 69 Caprice ProTour/Drag/Daily

Been working on this project for the last 2 years. This was the first brand new car my grandpa ever bought, it has never left the family. So its a 1969 Caprice 4dr HDTP, I have installed a 6.0 w/ S475 Turbo, ridetech Level2 w/ musclebars, Wilwood 6/4 piston brakes, 9" rear end, Dakota Digital gauges and so on and so forth. It dyno'd 582/575 on premium fuel this summer and I'm going to do flexfuel E85 Tune over the winter as well hoping to hit 700rwhp. I daily drive it a lot, pulled small trailer over 10hrs one trip this summer and am signing up for a 55 mile road race to run next year. Looking for opinions on little tips or tricks to get the most out of what I have or ideas on how much further to go with what. I'm probably not doing body work till next winter as of now.

I agree, looks pretty good as-is. Dare I say I love the tire lettering.

Have you done a performance alignment? I found a shop that did my 68 that actually dialed in the numbers I wanted and the difference was incredible. I learned the last alignment shop lied about where they ended up which explained why it never really felt good.

In regards to the E85 tune, consider doing it if you can swap tunes back and forth or scale the tunes with a sensor. I run straight E85 and the gains are significant (my dyno shop shows gains of 50-80 HP in the 600+ range on E85 vs premium) but the thing drinks like a fish. Steady highway cruising in OD with 3.31 gears nets 11 MPG. I can go through a 1/2 tank easy in a night beating it around (24 gallon tank). Just food for thought.

Do you have any pics of the 9" rearend? I know everyone seems to make one but there are zero pictures of them out there for 65-70 B-body.

One of the best looking 4 door body styles. Excellent job on yours.
The rule is measure twice and cut once. My problem is I still measure with a mic and cut with an axe!

I will be doing a flex fuel tune where I can just flip a toggle switch between tunes. I like road tripping the car and E85 gets tough to come across. Anything in particular you want to see of the 9"? It's a brand new Quick Performance with 31 spline axles, billet pinion support, 3.50 gears with Ford Motorsports posi. I think I'm going with 3.73's this winter though.

20x10 295/35 and 18x8 255/40. When I do the body I'll open up wheel wells for wider as well.

I'm just curious how the B-Body brackets look and how thick they are. I see you have Strange axles, do you know if the housing is by Strange also? I will have to give Quick a call since my application is a bit out of the ordinary. I need to keep the stock Big Chevy housing ends to work with my brake kit but also employ the Torino bearings. Strange does not offer that but Moser does but I am just looking at all options. Also, is the gear setup quiet?

Quick Performance axles as well, basically same as strange minus decals. Gears are quiet. I'll get some pics Monday but the brackets are all plenty thick, nothing looks cheesy and everything bolted up with zero modification. I do need to modify the ridetech musclebar rear brackets yet as my car apparently had a crossmember change. I contacted ridetech and they seemed to not give a ****. I told them what I thought needed to be changed and they simply said I had the right idea and to do it.

Well now your odd take on Ridetechs apparent care about possible modifications to brackets seems to be a bit callous.
I see your attitude towards needing to modify a part and not expecting them to ,what, fall all over them selves congratulating you when the parts ARE made to fit multiple model years,a little arrogant.

Maybe it came out worse than I was intending. Everything else was great, love the way the car handles. Just thought something could have been looked into, see if maybe a different bracket would work. Just have to throw em out and make new ones.
