      Brake pedal ratio with Tuff Stuff Vac booster

      I'm converting my 67 Camaro over to power brakes using the Tuff Stuff 9" dual diaphragm vac booster part #2224NC. The booster push rod lines up on the pedal in between the stock hole for manual brakes and the hole for power brakes. Should I drill a new hole in the pedal where the push rod lines up? Will that give me a satisfactory pedal ratio for power brakes? Will that give too much pedal ratio that it would apply so much force to the booster damaging it? Or should I push the rod down to the stock hole for power brakes, but I'm worried that will bind the rod?

      Specs: 67 Camaro, stock pedal, Tuff Stuff 9" dual diaphragm vac booster part #2224NC, DSE reduced angle brackets, master cylinder 18M974, Kore 3 Z51 disc brakes.

      I'm hoping someone here has a similar combination of parts and can tell me what worked for them.

      I just installed 2 of these boosters on 2 of my cars. One lined up as you described, the other lined right up without any issue. It could be variances in the mounting brackets (both my boosters did not come with mounts) or variance in the pedals (less likely). I simply pushed the rod down to line up with the hole & the brakes work fine, no bind. You could shim the booster brackets if that bothers you.

      Thanks for the input Scott. I thought I could push it to the lower hole, but some friends were telling me to drill a new hole.
