      Project no-time

SO as the title hints....this car gets little of my time....between work and family i get a few hrs a week on it here and there....this build has been oing on for 3 years...thought it was time to share with my friends here... man when you got time you aint got money and when you got money you aint got time.. so i spared you guys all the boring parts....(months on no progress) and will catch you guys up in a few post......so here we go...DONT FORGET THIS IS MY FIRST EVER PROJECT!! AND THE MINI TUB IS MY FIRST FAB JOB EVER.....EVERY WELD I HAVE DONE ON THIS CAR IS ME LEARNING AS I GO.....this is a BUDGET build.....
i have had this car since fall of 05... i drove it a few times a week up until 09... when i found some rust that had gotten bigger and some that popped up that i didnt know i had....i found some surprises in the body work that well made me  so that threw the project on back burner for awhile so i could save to buy more sheetmetal for the car...needles to say once in the early stages i had more time then money...now its the opposite more money then time .... hints the name no-time.... i get a hour or two a few days a week here and there to get the work done....so heres the pictures...i will let them do the talking to get you guys up to date on the project...:hurray::hurray:

well an update small one...been working 7 days :turn: anyways i got the car moved to where i wanted it....so tonight i spent some time cutting on the quarter to see what im dealing with yes  i was shocked not as bad as other side...seems they didnt even try to replace any sheetmetal on this side  they did fill few holes with some type of foam  but all in all looks pretty good...

so it looks like alot less metal replacment on this side...but will see once i strip a little more paint...may just need to replace what you see in the pics that was cut out... one thing i forgot to take pic of was the rear "wrap around" where quarter and tail panel meet... looks like got a ding there and they built that edge there up with filler...to give its shape back...not sure what i need to do there  will see once i give it a better look.. was out late after work and didnt look to much at that in depth...

now heres a fun pic how many paint jobs has this car had?

and this is one of my most favorite parts that i have done on car and am very proud of it....might not seem like much to you guys but when i had to cut into the wrap around i was very nervous......well i think it turned out great

Well here's small update!!! Got notch and end caps welded in. Also got tubs fitted as well as the qtr.have to weld in tubs and qtr yet....hoping to get some time in tomorrow........ Here's some pics!!!

Also another piece I picked up...... Hinted by don above is a tranny..... It's a t5 I figured for the power I'm making now I should be fine.it is a WC out of iroc z got pretty much everything for swap.....traded my th350 and shifter for it even up.a friend on another site is going to give me a clutch setup that has only2k miles on it...got it with his trade he did and using different setup...once I can get funds I'm getting t56 but for now I will have 5spd might even upgrade my tranny to g-force setup.

well i got the car out of the garage the other day....and i decided to do a lil mini photo shoot lol:D unfournatly its the first time my son has seen it out of the garage...:o and the first ride.....at the expense of me pushing of course :D:D:D

      so with no futer ado

Looks damn good from my point of view. keep up the good work. I'm doing alot of stuff for the first time myself on mine, but I haven't dug into any body work as of yet. You're braver than me, LOL.

Looks good so far. I can relate to "no-time". Though I would take 2-3 hours a week and being near your car all the time, just in case you find time, rather than 2-3 weeks per year at one shot and being 6000+ miles away the rest of the time. Keep up the good work!
