Test drove a 2004 Impreza WRX STI
I test drove one of these yesterday when I got out of work. It was actually a pretty fun car. It would be a decent daily driver but not a fun ride if you had to go for long rides.
This thing cornered quite well. I could stay right on it and push it pretty hard depending on what RPM I was at and how much the turbo spooled.
There was a fair amount of understeer if you got on the gas in a corner. Mainly because of AWD. The seats were very uncomfortable and stiff but looked nice for a stock car.
The acceleration was decent in 1st and 2nd gear. It still had some pull in 3rd. Started to drop off in 4th. These things launch like mad. Out of the hole they are very impressive with the AWD.
I took it to around 120mph. But after 100 it doesnt have much more push.
