seam sealer recommendation and product applying questions.

My current project is an '88 Mazda 323 GTX, the car is AWD and I plan on making it my daily driver in the winter. I'm doing a resto-mod kind of build with it. It will be getting hammered with cold temps,snow, and salty roads. I'm almost ready to epoxy prime the interior then plan on seam sealing, then 2 coats of lizard skin sound control. Now i know this is not your typical pro touring project that only sees nice weather and is stored in a climate controlled environment. So, that being said now you know a little about my project and what it will be exposed to, onto my questions.



Im looking for a recommendation for a seam sealer brand and model?

Also I have a couple small oddball spots were the stock/oem seam sealer is in great shape but I'm unable to get to, to remove. So can new seam sealer be applied over these spots and hold up?

I would look over their tech sheets for application directions. As some will need to be top coated within a certain time frame.

I've been using Dynatron, friend has a body shop so I can grab a tube for cost when I need it, and I know it's fresh product, not 5 year old shelf merchandise. I also like all of UPOL's products, used their seam sealer on another car in the past and was pleased.

I used 3M brand recently and it works well. One nice thing is that it is water soluble, so cleanup and smoothing seams is easy.

I have used the east wood brushed on sealer its great , its flexible and looks great for a quart of sealer you do a lot , i just leave it in the sun for some time before using it so it becomes more manageable , price wise bought it in the pomona swapmeet there are some people that get eastwood stuff and sell it for a fraction of the price but i think i got one from ebay for 26 $ , i think it does the job.
