69 Camaro Fuse Box and LS Electronics Location Help
My car will have a very clean engine compartment, so I need to hide all electronics. You can see from the pic that I considered deleting the glove box and mounting in that location but it's a really tight fit. Plus, I still need to mount relays for the power windows, keyless entry and the electric fans. Here are some options and curious what you all think. I was able to make a mount for the engine computer all the way up just under the top of the dash. The very front of the transmission hump which will be inside the center console or just to the right of the steering column which has very little room. I even considered mounting the main fuse/relay box (Highway22 kit) in the trunk. Are there any creative ideas out there? Pics will be very helpful.
Thanks all

04-09-2016 #2The relays for your fans- you're better off putting the relays near the fans.
I disguised mine as a voltage regulator- and hid the relays inside-

The wires for the ECU - I ran from the center of the engine- through the center of the firewall- for the most part hiding them-

Hid the wires in some aluminum U channel - then polished it- relocated the LS coils to the firewall- and have a AC cover on them- as the Vintage AC in all mounted in the car.

The wires that I did have to run to the headlights/parking/horns - I put inside some leftover AN12 SS line I had used for my DrySump-so now the electrical wires look like oil lines!!

The battery- or now batteries- I wanted to tuck them away- so I went w/ twin 6v-wires in a series - to hide them in the storage compartment better-

Hiding the batteries is a pain if-when- you have to jump the car??? I got a neat "jump wire" connected directly off the starter-mounted on the fenderwell- So I can easily jump the car. Pulled it off a 7 series BMW- has a cover as well.

I was able to hide all my relays under the console and behind the dash- for power windows/door locks etc-

Richard454: Thanks for the pics and ideas. Al channel and stainless lines to hide the wires are great ideas. That is an awesome looking motor.
Found some space just to the right of the steering column and plan to make a bracket for the fuse box there. Post pics later.

Bkfast02: hoping you see this reply since this was your last post. I bought some BRZ seats and would like to get more details on the bar stock mounting you did. Do you have any pictures of the bar stock in the car but without the seat installed? I don’t understand your comment in the other thread about countersunk screws and how you bolted the seat to the bar stock. Did you tap and thread the bar stock for seat bolts?
