Opinions reviews and feedback on DSE Camaro subframe?

I've done quite a few searches and found some generic feedback on the subframe but very few specific reviews and almost no recent discussion.

Just wondering if any of the guys that have one installed would care to share their real world driving experience with me.

First, are you running 275s? do you have any issue with tracking?

I read steering feel was light, anybody have any issue with that?

How does the suspension ride for everyday cruising? and then is it easy to adjust when you get it to the track?

Any issues with turning radius or tire rub on the fenders?

I have a little over 8,000 miles on my DSE sub frame mostly street miles. I purchased my sub with non-adjustable DSE shocks which was a mistake in hindsight. Initially I had turning issues until I realized the steering rack was not correctly centered. Due to the large amount of positive caster the car can be a bit darty when driving on uneven road surfaces but that will happen with any high positive caster steering. I am running 18x10 275s with a 6.5" back space and they fit my fender wells without modification. The steering is very positive and precise in normal street driving and the steering can be as light or heavy as you like depending on the power steering pump used. If I were ordering a DSE subframe today, knowing what I know now, I would order it without shocks and install the same custom AFCO double adjustable 3840 racing shocks which I eventually switched to. The issues which sold me on the DSE sub were 1. Front steer 2. Hydroformed frame rails. 3. overall quality

      Thanks for the feedback.

Do you think single adjustables will be enough?

How much caster do you have dialed in on your alignment?

My caster is set at +5deg. The subject of shocks is a totally different discussion. The choice of shocks depends entirely on personal preference and how you plan to use the car. If you want a lot of tune ability and plan on serious autocross use you probably want a double, triple or even quad adjustable shock. If you are not overly concerned about tuning, primarily street driving or on a budget the non-adjustable shocks are probably sufficient. I had a situation were my front and rear shocks were not well matched and caused some very odd suspension reactions. Shock mis-match is one side effect of using different manufacturers for front and rear suspensions, a lesson that I have learned. For those reasons I decided to change shocks on all four corners. I have had experience with AFCO racing shocks in the past, they are a high quality, rebuildable and easily revalved. AFCO will build you custom shocks for the same price as their off the shelf shocks and Matt at MCB is a dealer for them. DSE uses JRI shocks which are premium quality but very spendy and frankly I couldn't justify the cost.

Good info, I have mismatched shocks as well. ridetech in the back. Dse up front. I ordered from MCB also. Ill keep that in mind if I can't get the ride setup.

Thanks again for the feedback. You and Vegas 69 are about the only guys I've seen post any sort of review on the subframe
