      Hey Mark
Does forgeline machine the back side of the laguna wheel, if so can I see a picture? How much does a 18x9.5 3 piece hidden hardware laguna weigh?
Thats always been another problem with minilite style wheels is the weight. I have FIKSE FM5s right now and there are pretty generous pockets milled in the back to shed some weight. They are still pretty heavy at 21lbs for my 18x9.5
Mini lite style spoke profle is quite thick, there has to be some material that could be shed back there while still passing FEA tests.

Hi Decline. Yes we do machine the back side of the Laguna centers to remove as much unnecessary material as possible, but despite that, the Laguna is still pretty darn heavy (at least by our standards). The Laguna was never really intended to be about max performance. So if you are concerned about picking a Forgeline wheel that has a better tradeoff of performance metrics (weight, fatigue strength, and deflection stiffness), then we can do better. I don't want to hijack nacnac's thread. Call, email, or PM me, and I'll try to guide you to some better options.
