      1970 Mustang Coupe

      Hey Everyone this is my first post about my 1970 Ford Mustang Coupe.
      I purchased it in December of 2015.
      It was a roller with full interior, picked it up for $1800.
      I'll go through the progress over last few months and add a bunch of pics.

      My plan is to get it to protouring status over several build stages. I'd like to first get it restored to a slightly modified condition, lowering springs, upgraded brakes, wheels and tires, 351 and 5 speed trans and then take it next stage with new ifs, 4 link, discs at all 4 corners etc.



      The original car came with a 2v 302, a/c, power steering and power discs brakes up front.

      Anyway I hope you guys enjoy the progress of the build and please any advise is greatly appreciated. This was my 30th bday present to myself and I'm excited to finally have my first real project car.

      The final pic was discovered after sanding through upwards of 3/8" of friggin bondo. Not a happy camper at all. But it is one of the only pieces of metal on the car that has to be replaced. The interior structure is garbage too but I'm pretty confident that I can get it repaired with ease or if my experience isn't enough then I can pay someone to do it.

      Here I blast and painted my seat frames. I still have the backs and rear seats to do. They came out really great and I'm very pleased with the Eastwood rattle can paint. I've been using a lot of Eastwood stuff and harbor freight tools. I'm not ashamed to admit I buy a ton **** from HF.

      arcane73, awesome man! Most of my family moved from chalmette to the north shore after Katrina. I love it over this way.

      Got her in the garage and that ugly, horribly tacked quarter skin off of the car.
      The car was more than likely hit in the upper quarter and sail panel area.
      The structure behind the sail panel in the interior also needs to be replaced.
