What's the tallest person that could fit in the cuda? Was it built more for bob's height?

How did you go about bolting up the frame to the body?
We had everyone in the shop to sit in the car during the build up. The tallest is 6'5" and fits ok, but it was much more comfortable for ones 6' and under. The inner rocker panels were fabbed from 14ga steel when they were off for the sectioning. At each end of the rocker a piece of 3/16" plate was welded, drilled and tapped for six 1/4" bolts to the rocker and one 5/8" bolt into the top of the frame rail. The mount is basically a piece of 3/16" angle with the sides gusseted. There's one of these at the front and rear of the rocker. The vary rear of the car is supported with 2" x 4" outriggers bolted to the frame. The rear body is reinforced with a top hat shaped crossmember in the floor and ties into the quarter panels and rear body bracing. The body has been braced with various sizes of tubing to give the body some strength when it isn't mounted to the frame. The body also is sandwiched between the front down tubes at the firewall and bolts to the rear main bar under the back glass.

That sounds killer, I hope the Cuda sounds this good. A hot rod has got to make some noise. BTW there is a local shop here that has been building chambered mufflers for a long time. He will custom build what ever you need and can vary the sound from loud to mild.

I'm a Johnny come lately guy to this site, and in fact, to computers period..still listening to doo-wop on my 8 track...don't know many of you guys or your cars..who are the big dog car owners on this site?? I mean guys that can seriously challenge that 66 Vette that Hot Rod has seemingly put up as their horse in the Pro-Touring Challenge..and of the ones that could, which one's are?

Hot Rod says Pro touring WILL die like Pro-street? Sounds like something needs to be proved here. Who is in? Mabye at road atl. in april ?I hope to be there with bells on right in front of Bobs Cuda in turn 3

with emphasis on the word HOPE..reality is NO in the front of hope..What are you doing cage wise in your car? We've got to see what Road Atlanta is gonna require to run hard on that track. Did Hot Rod ever admit Pro Street was indeed dead? They were beating that Pro-Street drum long after it was dead in my eyes..I sell these cars and I know how hard it has been for at least 5 years to sell a pro-street car. I guess the Mickey Thompson guys don't think so with those big diameter wheel pro street looking tires they have now. What did you think of Hot Rods horse in this race?(66 vette in latest Hot Rod)...You skeered? You saw what Stielow said about that normally aspirated motor being too much..what do you think he would say about that twin turbo fat block of yurn? I don't want my Cuda anywhere near that monster when it comes on boost out of one of those turns..riding in that thing will be like the whirlagig I had when i was a kid..You'll be so dizzy when that thing stops spinnin you won't be able to stand up for 5 minutes..You's one wild and crazy guy

      Your Firewall.

Okay after looking at it i've decided to rip mine off for the 3rd time and go down the same/similar road you did. Can you guy's give me a couple pointers from what you've learned building your firewall

From all the pics It Looks like
      1. it about 1.5" thick with .75" milled out of it
      2. Firewall Frame is 1" Square Tube

      3. How is it mounted ? screw & Sealer

Any Advise you can give me would be grerat.

I already have a place that is will and able to water jet cut me the basic piece and another place that can mill it for me all we would have to do is make the structuire to mount it to my cab.

      thanks in advance

Also Bob, be aware, Streefytr68-Steve is no novice himself. Owns probably the best known, proven street fighter in the business.

      Mr.Pozzi? Camaroboy69?
I am talking true streetfighters, not posers like myself
Help me here everyone, I know we have a lot that go to track days fairly regularly on the west coast. I just fear the event being on the east coast.

Steve owns the original streetfighter , he even brought the term to the automotive world.

My car is not a true streetfighter yet, more of a "street instigator", or a "street troublemaker".

Thanks Bill , but I would not mess with those guys-

Dave pozzi has a lot of track miles under his belt, hes the obi-wan-kenobi of monterey.

Dennis and camaroboy have primered cars, primered cars always run fast at the track.
