they hate anything with wheels..the locals don't want all the traffic..they forget all the bucks the car guys bring to the local economy..happened years ago in Daytona for bikeweek. Police cracked down on everyone so hard people stopped going..they relented after the city folk realized that bike week is the biggest money draw in Daytona..more than the Daytona 500 if you can believe that

Holy **** it is going to be loud. We ran about 54" per side of 3" chambered on Prodigy, I can only imagine what 3 1/2" will sound like. I can't wait. FYI, my DB meter goes to 120, prodigy is burying it at 30 feet, LOL! gets them out of their seats when it comes out of the trailer though!

Is the Cuda engine that 900hp one that was in PHR story some time back?
The engine was on the cover of PHR about 6 or 7 months ago..but it was carbureted for the dyno test..Indy Cylinder is just now starting to embrace fuel injection,,we polished the block and heads..put a one off Hogan Fuel Injection system on it..got rid of the ugly ass distributor and wires running everywhere..polished and painted the valve covers that Alan doesn't like..but they acknowledge the contribution that PHR and Indy Cyl head made to this project..it would not have happened without them..it's people like Indy, Bilstein, Red Devil, ARP, Colorado Custom, Hyperco, Rockland Gear, Centerforce, BF Goodrich/Michelin, Comp cams/Fast, Holly/Earls, Barry Grant/Nitrous Works, PPG, Addco, Art Morrison and tons of others that make a project like this possible. Not only with parts, but with engineering support and specially made products for your application. Some of this specialty work would be so expensive, it would make a car like this even more expensive. I can't thank these companies enough for making my dream and vision a reality. Pay attention to the sponsor list on every article written on each car...these are the companies that make this sport interesting.. Sorry, but I can rarely learn from a budget guy buying a clunker and building it in his back yard..notice I said rarely..there's a few budget guys doing some really cool stuff, but it's a rarity for me. I do love the rat rod stuff though. My favorite next to the G stuff

Oh. Wild bill and I know all about that Bike Week stuff. Bike rally's run a very close second to car events with ole Billy and I. Although right now we are both bikers without bikes. It's kind of a bonus to be only 40 miles away from Main Street.

I pulled the 69 Camaro off the trailer at Goodguys show in Tallahassee in 02 and Jim Aust then with Goodguys, came a runnin on his golfcart along with a horde of other guys..It was poppin and a crackin as anyone that ever heard it knows. He immediately gave it the Goodguys Gazette Pick..It was one more bad ass sounding street car. The exhaust exited out the back behind the rear wheels so it wasn't that abusive inside. It never had a tendency to drone on the road the way some exhaust does. I sold my ramp truck at Tallahassee, got some friends to bring home some of my stuff, loaded my luggage in the Camaro and drove it home to the amazement of the guys there. We build cars that drive. I proved that when I drove the Long Haul on the Power Tour that year. Just cause it looks, sounds and runs fast doesn't mean you can't make it drive. The problem with the Cuda is the exhaust exits just behind the seats, in front of the rear wheels. But to old schoolers, this is what it's about. it's gotta sound like a hot rod. No hair dryers for me..I don't need em. onion head that I am..I just hope the fuel injection doesn't take the lope away at idle..gotta have that cam idle..puts lead in the old pencil..and that takes some doin these days

I'll bet ol Charlie goes down and gets him some of those water based Tatoos and puts on his wife beater T shirt, puts his wallet on a chain, gets him a 40 and strolls main Street with his leathers and boots on..goes to the Patch and challenges some hos to a slaw rasslin match. Charlie lets his hair down when mama ain't there supervisin...That slaw gets a little rank after a day in the hot sun..plus the fat byatches sweatin in it after sleeping in a tent for 2 or 3 days with no shower..the hair in the ol pits don't help much either. We could hold our 0 to 200 to 0 there at the ptch. That crossroad there has a straight for several miles in both directions. We used to run top end by there on the bikes..come by a screamin crowd with a friendly Hwy Patrol and his radar gun clocking you at 160 +..Mike Bruso was the king of the hill..he could run 180 or so..took a lot of others money did he and ol Floyd Twedell..these Hyabusa's and other burners could be running 230 or so now though. Those things are deadly. Unreal who'd have thought you could buy a stock production piece that would run in the 9's and run over 200 with the right rider..

Mr. Johnson, when the Cuda comes home will you do a viewing for the homeboys?

      Jim
The difference between an environmentalist and a developer is that a developer wants to build a house in the woods, an environmentalist already has one.

That is 108", 54" per side of 3" chambered. Thank god it exits through the rear body panel. I can't wait to hear the Cuda. BTW, you were concerened the FI would take the cam away, Na, that is a fuel injected 540", the FI did NOTHING to disguise the cam, LOL!

I found some spiral type baffe inserts we are going to try (supposed to be worth 8DBs per side, I want to try 4) for cruising long distance, I'll let you know how they work out. Something tells me you are going to need them!

I don't think it's the Schwinn that makes them look down on you..it's those training wheels..gotta get that vertigo taken care of..get your balance back and ditch those trainers..that training bra don't help matters either

Who are you to talk? Anyone ever seen Charlie at a bike function? He is armed with a camera in one hand, beads in the other, taking pictures. And no, it is not BIKES he is snapping shots of.........He is a man on a mission......letting young women earn beads.........beadman....

      Bob,

      First off, great car! Wow!

I have a question about the pedal pads - were those custom made or were you able to use something built for the Wilwood/Tilton pedals? I have Wilwood pedals in my Elky and I would love a set of pedal pads, especially for the brake. Was it a good bit of work to make them fit? I'm sure I can do it, just need the time...

      Thanks,
      Ryan

Alan made them..nothing's too hard for him..kinda like John Buttera..he has a vision of what he wants and he starts whittling..he's looking into a CNC..needs enough to keep it busy though..no problem making them fit since they were made to fit,,one off pieces
