      Sway Bar Mounting Problem!

I bought a new rear sway bar for my 66 Chevelle and it seems that the geometry isn't working out. The LCAs seem to be a 1/2" too close together and the sway bar won't fit in between them. The rear end brackets have been modified, so it seems that they were mounted just too close together, not allowing the space (the rear end was not in the car previously).

Is there a way of getting A/ANY sway bar to work without having to deal with relocating the mounting brackets? Maybe some kind of 3 piece set-up?
