Kore3 Rear Brake Line shortening ?

Quick question for those who have done the Kore3 rear brake upgrade . When shortening the rear brake lines did you weld on a tab for where the hard brake line transitions to the braided line or just let it hang more or less free other than the tabs that hold the brake lines to the axle tubes ? I am interested in seeing what you did if you have pictures .

I ran a braided stainless hose the entire length of the axle tube, from the junction block to each caliper. Was just easier for me, and one less fitting to deal with. I measured and gave Tobin the length, and he made the lines for me.

Thanks , but I am hoping to find some examples of how people shortened their hardlines . If nobody shows up I guess I can call Tobin and see about ordering some long flex lines .

I used the stock length hard lines(just replaced them with Stainless steel) and only used the inner stock clip on the diff. I had to get rid of the outer clips because I replaced the stock springs with Hotchkis leaf springs and they come with 2 larger u-bolts in place of the single u-bolt. The Kore-3 braided lines just lay over the u-bolts. Ran it all last summer with no problems. Just pulled the rear out and the lines are held in there nice and solid. Sorry no picture though.

You need to anchor the connection between the hard and flex line. It you dont the hardline will fail at some point.

I bend new lines and get all my tabs and line from allstar performance.

It would appear that Kore3 has included some tabs that just need to be welded to the rear axle housing . Wish I would have noticed this while my diff was over at my Dads shop as I could have just used his welder then . Might have to borrow one from work
