SPC Control arm issues

So on my 72 Elk, I roughed out the alignment when I built the suspension. Yesterday I was finalizing the alignment specs, I only needed 1.5 deg of caster. Had to go back and forth a couple times, then two aluminum adjusters froze up. Had to remove the ca and use a three foot bar just to get the adjuster sleeve off, obviously the threads are trashed.

Anyone run run into this before, should I switch to the steel sleeves and should I have been using anti seize in the aluminum ones? They would be out of warranty since I've had them about two years but they were in the box most of that time.

Not looking to change c/a's btw.

I think they call for a little anti seize. I use some on mine and been operating issue free for 5 years now. If the steel theads look good you can probably just get new aluminium adjusters.

Antiseize should always be used when using the spc arms steel or aluminum.
Btw are those both 5" adjuster sleeves?

Yes, 5" sleeves. I've been trying to find some but can only come up with red ones, hopefully SC&C have some.

anti-seize should be used on many assembly parts, any time a heim joint is used! Bam! anti-seize....tie rod assemblies Bam! anti-seize, Lug nuts, anti-seize, you get it....and especially when none like metals are working together....just my two cents
