      Where to get a complete autox/rr rear?

      I'm interested in a new rear end prepared for autocross/roadrace style competition. Ford 9", built-in negative camber (.5 degrees or so), toe-in (1/8" or so), full floater, stock width for first-gen Camaro. I know the gear ratio and differential I want to use. Ideally could re-use the disk brakes I have already on my GM 12 bolt. All linkage and shock mounts will be added later by a fabricator.

      Where is the right place to go for something like this?

      Stock brakes aren't a direct bolt on to full floater application. I'm pretty sure even the brackets offered by most vendors with the rears are for 11" brakes and even then there's no parking brake.

      That's fine, brake compatibility was a nice to have, no problem.

      1/8" toe in and .5* degree negative.....and then weld the brackets on......no bueno. Weld all brackets on, then weld floater snouts on.

      I think Speedway Engineering will be your answer.

      I don't know what this is for but I am excited.

      Have you thought about an 8.8? They handle the power (and use less of it), already have a third link mount (there is a sperical available), floating calipers, cheap parts, torsen, etc. Those mild alignment settings would be no problem either. I am not aware of any track related axle bearing failures either.

      I only bring it up because I am 99% sure that is what is going in my next project.

      Hadn't been considering it, but will check it out. This is for my Camaro, am doing the detailed planning around a potential evolution into a CAM/CP car. The self-imposed challenge here is to not cut up the car - at least, to not do anything that Penske/Donohue didn't do back in the day.

      As I might want to run the car on slicks, and also might get silly with power down the road, don't want to have to "do it over", so had been thinking of the beefiest option.
