DSE Subframes work with Chris Alston front clip?
I was hoping someone would have the answer to this.
I have a pair of the DSE subframes that I purchased a few months back but have yet to install, but have decided to go ahead and pick up the Chris Alston front clip.
Will they work together, or do I need to pick up the subframes offered through C.A.?

I am assuming you are talking about the upper control arms. If so I would doubt it because the were not designed to work with each other. The holes can be different widths apart. The control arms could be different lengths and a bunch of other reasons. It looks like there may be a set of DSE uppers for sale soon.

Yeah, I thought he meant the subframe connectors too. I have the Alston subframe and connectors, and their connectors are bolt-in pieces that fit right into the subframe. Could you get the DSE pieces to work? I think so, but it would definitely be easier to get the Alston connectors. They bolt right on, and fit right next to the floorpan so you could weld them to it if you wanted the setup to be more rigid. I like the fact that they will unbolt if needed, and yet provide a solid 2 bolt connection to the front subframe that's not going to move anywhere.

I did not even think of that. If that is what it is then it would be easier to get the CA stuff. It may be more hassle than it is worth.

I should have been more clear: yes, I was referring to the DSE subframe connectors.
Tom, do you have a picture of what the CA subframe connectors look like put together? Does the bolt in variety through CA seem to be a solid enough connection without the additional welding you mentioned? I am also curious about ground clearance, etc.
Looks like there will be a set of DSE subframes available for sale soon.

Unfortunately I don't have a pic of the subframe connectors bolted in, just this pic. They fit as high as you can go without cutting the floor pan, but obviously you'll have better ground clearance if you use DSE's connectors and notch the pan. (If they mate up ok, still not sure about that) Seems that the exhaust is usually lower than the subframe connectors anyway...
