      It isnt "Pipe insulation" it is purpose built Moroso roll bar padding with the roll bar cut out offset. It was installed in tens of thousands of race cars up until a few yrs ago but I do hear ya'. I like the old school look and will likely replace it with some SFI stuff in key areas. While researching the SFI stuff Im amazed at its lack of bar coverage in Nascar. It seems they just put it on here and there...I have EVERYTHING covered

      The current seats & harnesses hold those guys so fixed into place that they couldn't reach most of the tubing inside the car.

      I think even their "loose" arms are semi-limited with nylon straps now.

      The padding is only required around the head/helmet area...that is where I would put the good stuff.

      I really like the looks of the ridetech tiger cage door bars. These are designed for a roll bar but could probably be modified to work with a full cage. I assume they can be purchased separately from the Tiger Cage.
