      Strange Pro Touring Full Floater

Does anyone have any experience with this? Looks like a pretty nice piece.

Having one assembled now. Should be complete in the next two-three weeks. The components are very nice. Wilwood 14" brakes along with 35 spline axles, S-Trak and Pro HD alum center w/REM treated gears. Can post some pics as we progress. This all goes on a DSE Quadralink mini tubbed setup for a '69 Camaro.

So just curious, are we looking at $4K for an axle here?

13"or 14" Wilwood Brakes, floater kit and setup....$3000 range but that was to retrofit an existing narrowed Quadralink big bearing 9" housing. Another $2500+ for Strange SD Alum third member, S-track, 1350 yoke and REM treated US Gears but those are not required for a floating setup. I went to 35 spline axles but you can get 31 spline as well. All in from scratch you could have $9-10K into a setup but I am sure it could be done a fair amount cheaper with less expensive components.

I have a Strange 9" and the floater kit is about $1000 extra. They charge about $200 to weld on the ends, but that does not include brakes. If you pinch pennies it could be done for less than $3000 total if you already have a rear end. IMO floaters are the way to go, and until Strange and Baer there has not been a "street friendly" version. I'm pretty excited about this setup
