      spc upper arm quick question

Part number 94305, I want to order from summit (for easy returns) and wanted to know if the bushings were rubber or delrin.

It also comes with a 20 degree ball joint plate, will that be ok with a tall upper ball joint and vehicle is lowered 3 inch?

At the risk of sounding stupid...why not ask the tech support at summit..they are fairly knowledgeable people

Or buy them from SC&C, where you will have all of the technical support you may need. I don't know if they sell random SPC components, but that's where I'd start. We don't even know what the application is at this point...

Per Summits site, it lists the bushings as steel. Marcus would know if the 20 degree plate will work.

Yeah, and have cold drink and sandwich handy. And have had potty break as Marcus can talk with anyone for long time if interested. But he is probably most informed person we have that builds and sells to fit your car. I will be sending him a Monza upper soon to replicate.

I went with the 94320 arms with the flat BJ plates. I'm running a tall BJ with a 1/2" aluminum spacer to allow more droop in the suspension. Running the suspension (on jack stands) through it's travel shows about 3-degrees of camber gain from ride height to full compression. I don't know which bushings are in my arms, I think they may be steel. Here's a pic of my set-up.

This is a 15" rim which doesn't have much clearance with the tall BJ. I'm now running 18" rims with plenty of room.

I fabbed-up a 1/4" plate to serve as a bumpstop for the upper arm. Without the bumpstop the arms would hit the frame at full droop.

Wow looks like a nice setup. Be careful of stock lowers. Mine are 46 years old and the moog lower bj fell out when I lifted my car by the lower control arm! Got me SPC lowers today :-)

      spc upper arm quick question

I went with the arms from scandc instead of summit. I'd like to tell you how they work but it's been 3 weeks since I ordered and they haven't arrived yet.

I had the same issue and cancelled my order when I later found out they hadn't even sent them. Very knowledgable fellow, with lots of great technical info, but very disappointed in the lack of follow up and poor communication. In the end I lost $150 in the process....

I want to order the stage 2 kit which includes upper arms, tie rods and tall ball joints. But I dont want to wait a month either. Maybe I can ask how long it would take?

I bought my SPC94320 on fee-bay from UltrarevParts; not sure if these have steel or delrin bushings. They cost me $390 for the pair with free shipping and I had them in a week! I used my stock lower arms and spindles with Howe ball joints (bought them directly from Howe). I used a +.5" lower BJ stud and a +.9" upper BJ stud, but may change the upper to a shorter stud when I get the car at ride height. I'm concerned I may have too much camber gain for a daily driver - too much of a good thing can be bad, right. Here's a link for the upper arms.

I hear you on the lower control arm warning, I read lots of scary stories on the web of guys breaking the lower arms and grinding to an uncontrolled stop on the roadside. My ball joints were really tight when I pressed them in and I de-burred and stress relieved the arms as a precautionary measure to keep cracks from forming. I'm also running stock Moog rubber bushings which should help cushion the ride. This will be my daily driver and I not really going for all-out cornering. Weight was another part of my decision to stay with the stock arms as the tubular arm are considerably heavier and one of my suspension goals for this project was to reduce unsprung weight to improve handling response.

Cdrod, yes the spc lowers are heavier, but I need the peace of mind knowing my family will be in the vehicle with me. The wife agreed after I showed her the ball joint.
I now have the green light for a cool new suspension :-)

As Tobin suggested, I would call Marc at SC&C when ordering those arms. He will be able to provide any and all information you might want for these arms.

      spc upper arm quick question

I got my arms last week. It was over a month from when I was billed. They have grease fittings on the bushings.
