th350 speedo gear question
I put a new speedo cable in my camaro. Speedo still didnt work. I pulled the piece out of the trans that houses the speedo cable gear. It was a red gear. I felt inside the trans and could not feel the speedo gear on the shaft. I know they are removeable but can you remove them by just pulling off the tailshaft housing or is it more involved? Also, the car has 27 inch tall rear tires and a 3.73 rear gear ratio so what speedo gears would I need to install for the cable and the transmission to have a properly reading speedo?

hello scotty your right all you need to do is pull the tailshaft off to access the speedo gear on the shaft
