      Is my 10 bolted diff ruined?

      Hi!

      Im going to put on new brakes and therefore removing the axles. First I noticed quite a bit of play in the axles (0,05"), and then when removing the diff cover The diff itself is a Little "loose". I dont know how these things are supposed to be but judging from the scars in the diff body something is wrong (broken bearing?)

      What I wonder is:
      1. Is the play normal or can/must I shim it?
      2. Can I still ute the diff and gears (if you look at the wear in the Pictures) if i change the broke bearing?
      3. Can you tell if it is a 8,2 or 8,5 10 bolt?
      4. Is it Worth working with or should I look for something else?

      Engine is 383 stroker with approximately 500hp.
