Lowering springs loose at full droop

With my current Hyperco rear springs and Edelbrock IAS shocks, when lifting the car by the frame and allowing the axle to fully droop... the springs have no pressure on them and could fall out. While this situation is very unlikely on the street, I wonder if I should address it.

The car is probably lowered about 2"or more. Are shorter shocks the answer?

I was looking at the ridetech RQ and HQ shocks as an upgrade anyway. Does anybody know if they are shorter than the Edelbrock shocks, which I believe are stock length (but not sure)?
