      Modified stock subframe

I have a 69 camaro I am working on setting up as a autocross daily driver. I will be running the stock sub frame and I am planning on doing the speedtech coil over conversion on front with ridetech shocks and lower control arms. I already have sc&c upper control arms with tall ball joints. I am undecided on which spindles, either ridetech or speedtech (both in tall versions). Can I buy the ridetech spindle by itself? What are the pros and cons of each? I have seen some pictures on this site where the stock sub frame has been modified. The front brace that the front lower control arm bolts to has been cut after the mount and then a piece of round tubing has been welded in between. I don't know of much of an advantage (Some strength and better looking). Has anyone else done minor or major modifications to a stock first gen sub frame?

You can buy the ridetech spindles by themselves yes. As for the other questions I'll let others chime in!
