      1968 Mustang Rear 10.5in wheel

      Hello all!
so I've been shopping around for a bit looking at rear suspensions for my 68 mustang

now which rear suspension 4 link 3 link or anything else will provide me with the most back spacing. I already plan on using the DSE mini tubs without moving the frame rail in to ensure compatibility with different rear suspension kits

i have some weld racing RTS wheels 17x10.5 with 6.5" back spacing and Plan on running a 275/40/17

What I wanna know is will any kit out there allow me to have that back spacing, will this require a spacer? I've heard of this being done with the heidts 4 link and want to know what other options I have. I'm not to positive in the back spacing used with the heidts I just know they've fit a 10.5 with 1/4" spacer and it sat flush with the wheel well

      Hey!

As far as more backspacing, I'm not sure of which one will give you the most clearance. However, I've had several guys run our four link with minitubs, and fit a big tire with no issues. A 275 should be no issue at all.

Running these on the rear of a 65 Falcon. Mini tubbed to the frame rail. But the rails have not been cut. I did remove the bump stop. I'm only running 275's right now.

      In my 68 fastback I got 275's on a 9.5" boss 338 wheel.

      That's with a Rod & Customs 4 link and a 8.8 narrowed 2".

You can put 275's and a 10" rim under a stock leaf spring car with the proper offset off the shelf wheel.

I have room for 295's with my current setup

I presently run 275/40/18 on my 68 fastback with 6 inch backspacing on a 9 inch rim, with stock leafspring susupension.
