      I Think i got a deal

just looked at a 67 Camaro. It was advertised as an ex-drag car. some may have seen my post the other day. anyways i pulled up on it and saw the backup lights low in the rear. couldnt see the taillights because of the car cover. start looking around, verr solid. one small patch of rust on the lower rear 1/4 right behind the door, and a few small pin holes in the floor. finally get to the engine compartment and see the cowl tag, yep its an original RS. All the glass is there, its got ladder bars, 12 bolt, 4 point roll bar around drivers seat, racing seat, harnes, built power glide said it ran 10's with a BBC. good rear bumper, chrome is ok-good. only down side is the fiberglass front clip. anyways got it for $1500. hopefully i can go get it tomorrow. sorry this is long, im just excited.

it wasnt really cut up either. had the ladder bar set up but no tubs, and still had mono leaf spring. gonna look into putting it on the street i think. the thing that kills me is that not 10 min. from this guys house is Camaro Heaven, a huge camaro junk yard. surprised they didnt jump on it.

Its only on the 67's, on the 68's you can say what ever you want it to be for the most part, unless it started life as a V6. I think late 69's they started to put more detail on the cowl tags, A trip over to the CRG site might shed some light for you

I think any Camaro could get an RS package, even a 6 (An SS must be a V8 vin), IIRC.
