Hey firebirdzig, I wanted to point something out to you to save you considerable grief and aggravation in your project. Any non-Hooker long-tube header you attempt to install with the Hooker engine brackets will suffer from poor ground clearance due to the fact that they are all designed around the higher installed engine height that results from using the factory frame stands/mounts and LS swap plates. The Hooker engine brackets position the engine lower in the subframe than is possible with that mounting method and the Hooker headers are designed around that geometry to tuck the collectors tight to the floor. Conversely, if you tried to install the Hooker long-tubes on an engine installed with typical swap plates, the collectors wound be jammed up against the floor and you would not be able to get the flange bolts installed at the cylinder head.
