Totally agreed. My '55 Chevy has an LS3 with 24x reluctor and DBC setup. I purchased the car with an LS1/DBC setup with the 4L60E in place, so this was the easiest route when I decided to upgrade the engine. I prefer the DBW setups in my cars, but I would've had to replace the harness to do it in my '55. As mentioned, lots of ways to get to the same result!

The combo uses a built 4L60E behind it.

There are lots of options available to you and any of the vendors that have already responded can help you sort out exactly what you want.
