Hey everyone, Jeff from CA here. I've been browsing this site for some time now and finally decided to register. I have a 1970 Buick Skylark (350), that I picked up about 6 months ago. I had plans to make it a simple cruiser - well that's changed. The car has been sitting for the past 2 months now. It's not running on all 8 and leaks like crazy. So my plans are to pull the 350 out take it to a machine shop and get it all squared away and running correctly. From there, well that's why I'm here...I'm looking for ideas to get the skylark pro-touring-ish per se. Although the cruising type is nice and all, I want something a little different. Maybe the best of both worlds, if that's possible. Anywho...here's my ride and the wheels i plan on getting, hopefully prior to summer

Keep looking around, lots of ideas. Don't worry , we will have spending your money for you on your car! Lol Are you wanting better handling and braking also with this? Again many options for your A-body. Don't buy wheels and tires until you have hammered out suspension and brake details. Will you be keeping auto trans or going stick? fuel injection or carb? I was going to build a 383 stroker for my 67 elky and put fuel injection on it, about cheaper to go crate ls3 for me by the time I ran the details through. So my kid is getting the 383 for his project. Decide first how you want to procede and how far you want to take it. We will be happy to help.

Yes, you hit it right on the nail, better breaking and suspension. I'm planning on converting the rear drums to disk. I also have a budget for UMI stage 2 handling kit. If I can hold off, possibly stage 3.

Its funny because I have a feeling my brother in law (who has a Buick GS 455) will also have fun helping me spend my money

nice ride. be sure who ever you decide to have work on the engine is familiar with Buick. It isn't a Chevy(same cubes, better pwr to weight ratio) and wont last long if they set it up like one.
