      Vintage air question

I have the opportunity to buy a vintage air unit for a 67/68 Camaro/firebird that was purchased around 2000. It is still new in box. What are the differences between this unit and the new units? Any help is greatly appreciated.

That unit is probably cable operated and uses an integrated heater/evaporator core. The GENIV units use separate cores with a blend door and are 100% electronic. It will still make cold air but it is not as efficient as the newer unit.

I guess it really depends on if you can live with the differences and how much they are asking for the unit. Is it complete? I doubt it's still going to be under warranty even though it's never been installed, just my guess.
