Best bang for your buck LQ4/9 408 crate engine

      Hi.
Contemplating my engine choices. Think I want to go with a crate long block or complete engine.

Looking for a LQ4 based 408 stroker for a twin turbo build with occasional nitrous... fuel injected. Turbos will be turned down most of the time. But the engine has to occasionally support and hold steady at over 1000 hp. Mostly this will be a street car, so as quiet as possible and street mannered would be best.
      Am I dreaming?

Looking at Texas Speed and performance. do you have any other ideas for me?

Not sure what you are eluding to with "occasionally support and hold steady at over 1000 hp".

I have two tunes for my Chevelle. A "street" tune and a "kill" tune. The street tune puts right at 800hp to the wheels. No issues with drivability. But its far from sounding like a quiet, factory car. Its not the hardware for your solution, its in the tune.

Excuse my phrasing. It needs to hold over 1000hp, period.

Holding 1,000+ HP will be easy. If you are wanting to stay with a 6.0L iron block, we could upgrade to a set of 1/2" head studs for your build. We can customize any of our turn-key builds to fit your exact needs. Since you would be adding the forced induction, you would certainly need to have the car tuned on a chassis dyno once the turbo system is in place. The harness and ECM that we supply with the kit will include a base tune for start-up. We can also upgrade to larger injectors at the same time. We use quite a few of the Injector Dynamics fuel injectors, and they work very well because they provide you with the base injector info to get the car up and running.

Give us a call, and any of our salesmen will be glad to go over your options with you. Again, we can customize the build any way we need to accommodate your setup. If you think you'll get out of control down the road with boost, we can always put you in a 427 CID LSx turn-key engine that will have 6-bolt capability for maximum clamping force on the cylinder heads.
