      Rear Coilovers for 67 Camaro

I need help finding shocks for the rear of a 67 Camaro. I would like coilovers so I can adjust the ride height and get a stiffer ride. I found several but not for 67...maybe due to the non-staggered shocks?

The car has mono leaf springs with a 12 bolt rearend. It is not running the RH traction bar.

I looked at many websites and catalogs and noticed that BMR sells a
DS402 - QA1 Rear Coilover Shock, BMR Torque Arm, Single Adjustable, Proma Star Series, Each. But like the other ones I have found, they probably only fit 68-69 unless I weld in a bracket.

I have another 67 with the same set up and had to put aluminum lowering blocks with air shocks. It lowered it but floats around corners too much. Eventually that car will get linked with ridetech parts but that is not an option for the 67 that I trying to finish.

Any suggestions are appreciated. My next step is to start calling the different sponsors but wanted to get some comments from the site first. thanks, Bill.

Are you saying you want to run coil overs and a mono leaf?

Yes, the back half is stock. I need shocks and would like to use coilovers to help set the ride height plus get a tighter ride. Everything has been rebuilt with mostly stock type parts, i.e. rubber bushings and pads. If I have to buy lowering leaf springs, that is ok but I am hoping I can lower it a few inches with the coilovers. thanks. Any suggestions are appreciated...I am a fabricator and painter so the mechanical side is unfamiliar.

a coilover can not lower your leaf spring, the leaf spring determines the ride height.....leafs are leafs...the only way to lower them is Blocks, re-arch or move the mounting points

OK. Thank you. I would really like to lower it 3 inches but don't want to go lower than the front. Hmmm...I can always put them on my car if it is too low. (I am not comfortable having the lowering blocks on my car.) I saw DSE has 3" lowering springs. I think I'll go that route if they have single leaf...I don't want to change my perches on my 12 bolt. Thanks again.

The DSE drop leaf springs are not a mono-leaf, they are a multi-leaf.
