OK need some help from wheel people or 1966 Impala/Caprice owners on wheels size/bs

So I picked up the 1966 Caprice 4dr Sports Roof, and I am thinking about wheels.
I mean I installed 275/60/15s, wheels wells swallowed them no issues.
But need some extra help like possible I info on back space and width. I am planning for 17 or 18s.
So any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest a 8 in front with a 4.5 B/S if your using an off the shelf wheel. 4.75 if your ordering a custom set. Rear 10 wide with 5.50 off the shelf. 5.75 on a custom set. assuming nothing crazy on the brakes you have. If your running big brakes front and rear I would need to know what you have. Some brake packages require a different set up on the pad width.

Thoughts had been Extreme Blazer rear brakes, 13 or 14 inch Corvette brakes. Been thinking Corvette split 5 spokes. Similar to my other Caprice project.
Most of those are 8 1/2 or larger.
Just a thought. Also have other choices.

If your looking to do a custom wheel, I would highly recommend that you complete a wheel fitment sheet. Here is a link to ours.
