      Blow off valve placement

Where is the ideal place to install a blow off valve? Should it be closer to the turbo or closer to the carb/throttlebody hat? I can think of reasons for both places but niether of the two books I have on turbos say much about it. The Tial valve I bought didn't have any instructions with it and I cannot read their web-page instructions.

      Thanks,

      Tim

You want to prevent backflow, so the best place to install it is just before any restriction-- i.e. as close to the throttle body as you can.

If you have a mass air flow sensor, I think it is supposed to be before that though.
