      Sheet metal and rivets

Getting ready to do the sheet metal in the vehicle cabin area and the engine compartment. If not part of the factory sheet metal (steel), what do most of you use? Aluminum or steel? What gauge? If aluminum, isn't it a pain to paint and keep nice looking? I guess some are using ABS sheets? What about rivets, rivnuts, pop rivets, screws (phillips, allen, torques, safety torques, buttonheads), etc to hold it all together. Ideas and pictures? Show what you have.

      Thanks

I've used rivnuts and stainless button head allen screws to attach some things in my Falcon. I bought the rivnuts and installation tools from Mcmaster carr.
