Where did you find the tub stuff for your falcon? And whats the backspace on the wheels?

Also, what rear suspension is that? Id like 4 link from TCP but they don't have a falcon one yet
Thank you, Yep we are both in SoCal, we live in a small town called Ridgecrest, Its a pretty good drive to SD 3-3.5 hrs each way. the 59 would be sick with the diesel in it.
The mini tub is homemade, I used 2"x 3" rectangle tubing for the frame rail sections. The backspace on the rear are 5.75" and 5.0" on the front. As for the four link I originally bought a Ride tech unit for a mustang off ebay, but it didn't fit, but it was worth it because it gave me a great visual aid, and from there I just built my own. I think TCI has one for the falcons, hope that helps[/QUOTE]

Thanks yea that helps. Ill see if you got pics of the mini tub in your build thread. And good to know on the 4 link. I planned on getting the TCI if the TCP didn't work.

I need some opinions please. Im going to be ordering a roll cage soon and I want your opinion on if I should keep or delete the rear seat...

This is a 64 falcon sprint

And this is a 63 Sprint

If I do mine like the 63 I wont be cutting the rear deck ill run it through a hole that already there
just catching up on posts while i have some downtime in Lake Arrowhead for a few days and caught this one.

My opinion is that a roll cage (when done correctly) pretty much sets the direction for your car to being for the track and therefore makes the back seats obsolete so might as well ditch them. A cage gets invasive to make the back seats safely useful and if you have a cage, it better be serious or there is little reason to have one. A serious cage means it's for race.... and no backseat is needed for that application (Plus, it looks cooler w the back seats deleted).

My three cents. Hope the project is coming along for ya.

And for a long overdue update!!! So been super busy with other stuff and finally parts started arriving this past week. A lot of updates in order are on Instagram @blueghostindustries because its so easy to work and post as I go that way. But ill try and keep this updated as well.

Well first this car has so much original trim the pile doesn’t seem to run out so I keep going. Got the trunk lid and hood done for now and we have rocker panels and interior trim left.

Then had a little sketch done of how my car would look with the new wheels. Turned out really well!

And now for parts update. The stock rear leafs will be reused till when we go to a 4 link down the road so we sent them off to the spring shop to have them beefed up because they got a little twisted from the hp. They also have been de-arched to give us a nicer looking ride height.
For some reason naming your car is a foreign concept to the guys at the spring shop so now the ongoing joke is that we named our 74 F250 the Blue Ghost and now the falcon the Black Phantom… Apparently its “gay” and “childish” to name your car according to the owner of the shop and his head spring tech. So now that’s the ongoing joke back there. I don’t find it funny but they sure do but I shall refrain from comment and see what you guys think. Seeing a lot of cars on here are named I myself think its common.

But anyway here are the springs as we picked them up from them

Whats more childish, naming your car or this^ and the ghost noises over the PA when I got there…

And moving on! We also got our 9” back over 4” shorter!!!! Got it up and installed and as usual the 3 local stores are out of the gear oil I need… Went to pick it up today and their driver didn’t pick it up from another location like he was supposed to! So now I gotta wait till tomorrow. Oh well!

Don’t think I ever updated anyone but it’s a strange 3rd member and fab 9 housing, US Gear set (I have a 389 set brand new for sale btw for anyone interested), tru trac set for 31 splines, and some custom axles. And to finish it off a 12.19” wilwood disc set with 4 piston calipers. Special thanks to Steve at San Diego Gear and Axle for getting it done so quick and taking extra care to make sure its done right! A+ in my books. And for anyone interested I now have an account with wilwood so if anyone needs some wilwood stuff let me know! Ill do my best to get you a decent deal and fast shipping.

And now finally (I think), we got some other goodies in the mail.

Kwik Wire Harness 22 circuit for ford! Really nice harness and great construction. For the price it’s a amazing deal.

Got our Upper control arm drop template!

And we got our lighting for the gauges figured out (if anyone needs LED’s let me know and I can get whatever you like (almost) and they are plug and play). Decided to go purple!!!

Got purple for all the gauges and a white for the turn signal indicator as well as the high beam indicator. And a giant white one for the dome light.

And the first of a pile of plugs for the lights arrived.

And that’s all the updating to date. Sorry for the mega post! Ill try to stay more current from now on. Looking good so far though. Im excited!

      Thanks for the compliment Pro67!

Ok more parts have arrived! I have a wilwood dealer account so of course I got new wilwoods for the front I also got a new set of pedals and master cylinders.

Also got my new gear oil in finally and new 66 mustang spindles which have a better steering geometry!

And on a artistic note, if anyone wants to draw cars Prismacolor makes the best markers for it hands down... They work amazingly well! If anyone is interested just ask and ill tell you the best place to get them seeing usually they run $4-5 per marker...

Just now I was under the car and looks like I need a adapter u joint... The yoke on the new axle takes a bigger u joint then they put on this newer driveshaft. Just one more thing to go get.lol

Looking good and nice progress report! You dropped some good coin on the braking system. Well done.

Very happy with the Shelby drop. Hope you like the geometry difference when you get it out on the street.

      What's next?

Thanks! Yea I learned the hard way with my F250 that if your going to do something right, go all out and get it right the 1ST!!!! Time. Haha

Yea once I get wheels ordered the new spindles will go on, Shelby drop will happen and brakes will go on.

      Whats next hmmm good question.

Install wiring harness after removing old
      New headers and motor mounts
      Order wheels
      Shelby drop
      Disc brakes and spindles
      wheels and tires
      new pedal and MCs install
roll bar and seat belts and clean out where the back seat will go and make a custom aluminum pan for looks lol
      carpet and headliner
      glass and rubber seals
      door panels
      custom gas cap
      Fuel cell
MSD upgrades (current msd is ancient, going digital with some accessories)
      New exhaust
then tinker with little stuff here and there

I probably left something out but it will come to me haha (maybe one of your bumpers) ;P

oh btw, PM me how you got that instagram thing in your signature

Been messing with the driveshaft length. Other then that not many updates :/

But!!!!!! I have some other news.
I have teamed up with Rhodes Race Cars to make a custom direct drop in aluminum fuel cell for early falcon, mustang, comet, and cougar! I will not make a cent off this so let me say that right now. This is a group buy discount. Options are 20-30 gallons with a front or rear sump for easy fuel pickup. No sump is also a option.

Option of single or dual pickup lines, breather and return line fitting options as well.

Filler options are flush mount, straight neck or 45 degree neck. We are going to try and make this so you can use the stock fill location if you want vs having to open the trunk to fill.

All cells are foam filled. Sending units will come installed in stock 70-10 ohm or other options upon request.

Please email us at [email protected] for orders or questions. These are high quality cells and will last forever. Once I get your email ill do a quick rendering of how you want your tank. Once you approve I will need your name, a phone number (cell preferably), and your shipping/billing address(s). I will then send your rendering and info to Rhodes race cars. Once they have your rendering I will have you call and give them your payment method.

THE MORE ORDERS WE GET THE CHEAPER THE CELLS WILL BE!
Right now we are looking at around $400 a tank, if I can get another ten people we get a decent chunk taken out of that price. This is a decent deal!

Alright so the falcon is now on all 4 tires again. Stance in the rear is amazing. With 17" wheels it will be perfect! Next is to measure and cut the front springs and to the UCA drop and get the nose down where it needs to be.

Currently working on the new wiring harness. Its a quick wire 22 circuit harness. Decided to replace all the wiring just to be on the safe side. Will post pics soon!

On a side note, anyone looking for a 560 or 5.0 (with tranny) let us know!

Slow progress since ive been so busy. I am currently costing the floor pans and in the doors with a protective rubberized spray so prevent rust and it helps with road noise says the can but I doubt that. Im also mounting up the new wiring harness fuse block and preparing for a roll bar install. My camera on my phone broke so pics will have to wait. Over Christmas break ill hopefully get the new wheels and start installing brakes and all!
