Too Good To Be True? 1969 RS/SS

      Hey guys,

It's my first post here. I've had a '79 Camaro Z28 since I was 15 and I'm now that I'm making more money, I'm looking into buying a '69 Camaro RS/SS convertible. I just checked it out today and the car was pretty much flawless, aside from needing a new actuator for the lights and having the doors adjusted, the car was 100% clean. All of the following was done in the last 4 years: new paint, new top, new interior, new rims and tires with less than 200 miles, new suspension, and the engine and trans were rebuilt. The car has been for sale for almost a month and was being advertised for $35k, which is a steal based on prices I've seen for that year in that condition. The only thing missing is the cowl tag which makes me a bit nervous, but I'm not too concerned based on the person selling. Another thing I noticed was that the gears were a lot harder to change than expected and the clutch had to be almost completely disengaged before it would take.

Is there anything I could be missing? A car like this should go within a week at the price he has it for. This is by far the largest purchase I've ever made and I just want to make sure that there's nothing I'm missing. I'm only 21 so spending $35k on a car is a big deal for me and makes me super nervous.

The only downside I see about the car is the ability to actually have fun while driving it since it's not that fast, and the fact it gets 10mpg haha. I've had my '79 in storage the past 2 years since I moved to Cali and left it in Michigan, so bad MPG's is one thing I don't miss.

Any feedback you guys could give would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!
      Brandon
