      Looking for Wheel Backspacing Tool

I have been looking to buy that wheel backspacing tool that lets you determine which is the best backspacing to use for your oversized wheels. I found a few links using the search, but they no longer work.

Can anybody help me with this?

      Frank

Is that the cheapest price any of you have seen? I am definitely going to purchase. Once I finish with it, it will be up for grabs here, first I just want to find a good price.

If you are interested I have to go thru Clovis this week to deliver some wheels, and I could come by and measure your car for backspace, etc...

Maybe a home grown tool? If you can weld or do wood work (yeah, one can be made of wood that will do the same thing) you could make one for pennies on the dollar, even free-ish if the scrap is on hand.

This gauge will simulate at the large size a 16.5" wide x 24" tall wheel. With a max backspace of 11".

At the small end it will duplicate a 6.5" wide x 15" tall. And a min backspace of 3.75". Front space min at 2.80".

The pic with the wire is where I will bolt it up simulating a 17x7 wheel and a 215/45/17 tire. Back space of 4.5" Im actually kinda excited!! No more guessing for me.. All scrap laying around cept the set screws. Had to buy them. JR

      17x7" wheel with a 4.5" B/S 215/45/17 tire..
