El Camino pro touring from sf Bay Area saying hello!

      Hello all,
just found the site and wanted to say hello with a brief intro...

I've had my share of classics and muscle cars, restored and wrecked more than my fair share.

As of now I have a 63 Ss nova convertible that I'm debating going stock or pt, it's pretty rare as it came factory with a 230ci inline 6 instead of the 194ci inline six. I have not found another online yet but this car is all original with 1 owner so I know it's factory. Plus it sports 230 badges on the fenders that are factory! Yeah I know, big deal but the 230 wasn't offered on the Ss in 63, it was in 64' but 64 didn't have a convertible in its line up so the car seems to be pretty rare.
I also have a 1970 gs455 stage 1 that I'm considering doing a pt as it's a full project and non numbers matching all tho it is all gs 455, it has the 72 stage 1 block and heads but then some random 455 carb and dist so it kinda sucks.

I also have an 82 collectors edition vette last year of the c3 body all restored.

and a 68 el Camino plain Jane that I'm tearing into.
ive done a few Elcos in the past and have a few parts to throw at it.
full tubular suspension with cpp rear disc setup, lowering coils, front ls1 brake kit,
a stroker that I built with procomp heads and a big cam, a 10 bolt posi, can't decide on a 5 speed or stick with an auto.. But this WILL BE a super thrift budget build without sacrificing quality. I can do most all of the metal and fiberglass fab and work myself.

I picked up some seats and a console from a local pick n pull with the 50% off sale and the console lines up almost as if it were custom fit! plus I am working in a hand brake to get some fun help with a drift or two!! My goal is to make the interior look like a new vehicle inside and bring the exterior into the 21st century without making it look like a rendering or a hack job. Basically all the chrome will go powder coat or paint, and a few body mods like smoothed bumpers, maybe even fiberglassed bumpers and a front spoiler with some touches round the windows and bed mouldings.

Some interior pics just mocked up for now

And a few pics of now and a photoshop idea. I like the idea of one stripe on the hood rather than the two....

      feedback?

      Thanks,
      Eric
