2.5 dual vs single 3.5. pros cons

Getting ready to build my exhuast. I would like to go from my long tube headers into flowmaster scavenging y pipe and exit the car with a single 3.5 pipe and muffler.
My motor is a ram jet 350. In a 88 monte ss.
I guess I just like to be a little different but I also don't want to rob myself of power.
      What's your opinions

I have a Grand National with 3.5" exhaust including hi flow cat. It will not hold your 350 back!
