      tools?

I've been needing to up my tool collection and since sears is going out and the craftsmen brand has become Chinese junk who don't honor warranty anymore, I'd like to know what other tools people have been using. I've been considering a buying a few snap on tools but would like to see what others recommend

Ace Hardware will Warranty your Craftsman Tools. I have almost every tool I need, but Pawn Shops can have Good Selection of Snap-On, Mac & Matco.

If I need a One Use Chinese POS Tool, I buy from Harbor Freight - that way, at least I don't pay much, especially with a 20% off coupon

Snap-on wrenches, ratchets and sockets are the best to go with, also the screwdrivers grip better than any other brand I have used. but for everything else its all mostly the same from all the major tool companies.

I buy a lot of S&K stuff myself, some gear wrench too.

I have snap on, mac, matco, craftsman and gear wrench ratchets in my box that are broken so I don't have much faith in any of them.

does Ace sell craftsmen as well? I have a ton of broken craftsman stuff and since every sears around me closed down and how the whole Corp is going down I'd like to know if their warranty will still stand. And harbor freight is okay for engine stands and things like that but their sockets are horrible.

I am partial to Proto, I do have some Snap-on, Mac, Matco, and Blue-point as well. I just dont like the cost of many of the big truck items. Craftsman has gone down hill pretty bad. I have been having some bad experiences with Snap On as well, they seem a little less reluctant to stand up for warranty work anymore.

Well I stopped by a sears closing sale event and was able to buy a 300 pc tool set that was made in the usa and some awesome gear tech flex wrenches for 150 almost snagged a tool box but another guy got the last one

Yes they do.. I just bought a few things recently.. Had a change of ownership and things were hard to order for a little while but it seems like they are back into production again.
