Stay safe guys. MrAngery, my brother lives in Sugarland (south of Houston?), so I am pretty much the same boat.

You guys are in our thoughts and prayers. If you need to store some cars, just load them up on a flat bed and send em' my way. I have a few extra bays for you guys if you need.

Thanks for the best wishes everyone! Its nearly impossible to get out of Houston, its been that way since Wed afternoon. The freeways going out of town are severely choked up, and it is taking people 12 hours to travel 30 miles.

I know someone that made it to Dallas yesterday, which is typically a 3.5 hour drive from Houston....it took him 15 hours.

Just about everyone in my area is staying, we are more concerned with the wind speed than the flooding. Luckily, we aren't in the flood zone where I live.

so do you have a generator and lots of fuel? how about extra charcoal and a grill? my wifes favorite item was the 110v window unit that i bought for camping. It made life alot better on her at night. being 6 months pregnate and sleeping in 95* heat was tough on her.

Good luck man, I don't even know what I'd do in your situation.

I wish this damn thing would just fizzle out, it'd do everyone a lot of good.

Been there, good luck, brother. Last year we had 80-90mph winds at our place. It gets pretty noisy, but it passes quickly. I agree on the generator and window shaker. We used the hell out of ours. Three storms, lost power for seven days on each. Be safe, keep your head down.

surprisingly I still have power for now. We are seeing wind gusts of about 60mph right now, and light (but sideways) rain. It should get pretty rough here in about 2 hours I suppose.

I'm just watching those trees in the yard bend, hoping they don't land on my house or my cars!

I think I would be taking pre-emptive action and cutting down trees that threaten the house..

Good luck Tony and keep your head down, I want to see what you end up doing with the '69..

Yep, I came up to Austin on wednesday when work was called off till Tuesday. I have a place near Lake Travis so I figured being safe then sorry, and I get to see some other friends.

Glad the storm has really turned into something substantially weaker. My car is stored in a high rise right now, but it is on jackstands. Not to mention I have two blocks for one of my two new motor setups at my Work. Hope as is well... Tony and all the other South Texas members, stay safe out there!

Lookin like Tony dodged a bullet hopefully. Hope all memebrs made it through ok.

I am worried about Prodigy's dash though. The dash is in Clevland, Texas getting some custom work done to it. Looks like the storm went right over Clevland. Ugh!

Maybe for SEMA I can have Kris render a dash and put a poster where the dash belongs.

It was nice to see that Rita dropped down to a category 3 before hitting. Could have been a lot worse if it stayed the cat 5 that it was. Hope to hear from Tony and SW soon. Also the other members down there.

My house and cars survived just fine! Just some branches and leaves and street signs pushed over. We lost power at Midnight Friday, it was off for a couple days.

I got to drive thru Beaumont and Lake Charles on the way to Mississippi on Saturday, a lot of destruction thru there! I'm currently sitting on a ship in Pascagoula, about to head offshore for 2-3 weeks to do some riser installations. Yeah, work sucks, but it pays well
