      64 dodge in N Texas

      Hey Folks,

I just registered an account last night. I pop in on the site from time to time to see what folks are doing. I have a 64 Dodge Polara that I have been working on for a couple years. I am not really sure if it is a pro-touring or pro-street.....hell maybe its a race car in street car cloths. Who knows yet. Anyway, I will post up some pictures. It is a gen3 hemi with a turbo, a 4l80 trans, all tubular suspension with coils overs and a 4 link in back. It has been a fun project so far. Its sitting in the chassis shop right now getting the 12 point cage done along with the 4 link installed.

I'm guessing E85 + turbo. Nice. Where are you? North Texas covers more territory than some states. I'm in Plano, and we have a quite a few guys on the board scattered across DFW. My car is currently in the paint booth in Wylie and I work in Richardson. Couple Mopar guys in the Garland / Wylie / Plano / Richardson area I have met so far.

Its been a long time with no updates. The motor finally shipped. The car is getting painted this week. I ended up giving up on the turbo setup and bought a 2.9L whipple for it. It should still make way more than enough power, 800+ wheel horsepower. I ended up doing a 6.1 based 426 with Thitek aftermarket heads.

Been a while since the last update. I have made some major progress. The car is painted and ready to start going back together. The paint came out great. The colors were perfect. It still needs to be color sanded and buffed. Its black on the roof and flats and jazz blue pearl coat on the sides. As you can see from the first picture it looks black in the shade.
