Tire and wheel help on mini tubbed second gen

Im putting the Detroit speed complete mini tub kit on a 75 trans am, my question is I want to narrow the rear and would like to know if anyone can give me their specs or advice? I want as deep of a dish on the wheels as I can get without problems, so how much should I narrow and what backspace on say a 18x12 with a 335 tire? Any help appreciated.

A 58" wide rear looks good in my opinion. I wouldn't go less than 56" unless you want a reeeaaally deep dish.
There's a 1970 firebird in our Completed Projects section of our website. Go to it, there's a shot of the rear and you can see the dish on those. That's a 58" rear end.
