Car Cover

Wanted to get some input on quality car covers for my 1969 camaro. Do any of you have any recommendations?

It pays to buy a fitted cover that actually fits if you plan to use it all the time. The fits all ones with elastic all over the place are harder to get on and are more likely to blow off if you ever use it outside. The cotton ones are much better than the zillion layer polyprop cheap stuff you see out there too. Don't know if they make them for older Camaros but my wolf brand stormsheild fitted cover goes on really easy and fits perfect on the car. Yeah 350 bucks for a cover is crazy expensive but I've had the ebay special covers and if you really plan to use it all the time it's well worth the cost for a fitted cloth one. It takes 30 seconds to put it on and 15 to take it off and is a dream to work with.

For what it's worth I found the key to putting them on and off quick is do it the same way every time. Mine sits in the passenger foot well so I set it in the middle of the hood and roll it back from the passenger side. I hook the pass rear then the drivers front and it basically falls into place. I sewed magnets into it every 6 inches from wheel to wheel and they grab on the underside of the rocker panel. Prior covers I put a heavy clip on the string so it is easy to toss from side to side under the car to clip on but the car I have now is too low for that. Anyway reverse the process exactly folding the drivers side then the pass side and roll from the back to the center of the hood so it is neat and ready to go next time. Doesn't matter what your pattern is but just do it the same and it will be fast and easy to work with.

CoverKing offers covers for a lot of cars. They're expensive, around $300 usually but they're worth it if you have a nice paint job.
