      2012 Gt500 to a 68 Vert

I had a shop suggest buying a wrecked gt500 and sit the two cars next to each other and swap everything. Anyone ever done anything like this? Suspension, drivetrain etc...

I've seen similar builds, a few with the GT500 drivetrain, and quite a few more with the 03/04 Cobra drivetrain. As for the suspension, you have several routes you could take, it just depends on the other things you want to put in the build. On the front, with that engine, you'd have to eliminate the shock towers and another independent front suspension setup, but it's very doable. There have been a few guys use the IRS out of the Cobra's, along with the drivetrain. If you go with the standard rear end, you could always do a four link suspension with coilovers. There are really an endless limit of possibilities. The good thing about buying a wrecked car is reusing absolutely everything you need in the swap and just fab up what you need as you go.
